depends when and how you will use it. for the usage you outline it will be pretty fast. I got mine in Feb and I love it. Its so portable, I take it everywhere. my laptop now sits at home! have a shop around and see what size is good for you. the smaller ones are cute and handy, but I found the screen a tad too small for me.
I have the Samsung NC10 – i think the screen is abt 10inches. and it works good for me. I chose this one bcos it has a 7 hour battery so I can pop it in my bag without its plug lead and work anywhere for the day. it cost just over £300 from PC world, but apparently cheaper on Amazon, but I couldnt wait for mine as i got it just before I went on holiday and wanted to work while I was away (sad, I know..); but you will have to pay about £80 extra for programmes like MS office etc to be loaded on – it comes with nothing. I had the good fortune of knowing someone who could do it for me, so i didnt have to pay. maybe you know someone or your work could do it for you?
So… my advice from my experience is that its definitely worth it! go check some out to find which feels right for you first though.
good luck!

A Netbook is really a great new device, especially if you’re a mobile user and constantly on the run but need internet access.
If your use is mainly internet browsing and basic Word use, then a Netbook is all you need as long as you’re cool with the screen size and keyboard size.
As you know, it does NOT have a cd/dvd drive, but I rarely even need that drive anymore. I download/buy almost everything now.
They’re actually really good. I’ve had an Acer Aspire One Aod250 for a couple months now. I have to say I haven’t used it as much as I would like to but that’s only because Im not out as much. Netbooks are designed for pretty much what you said but they can handle a lot more then people think.
Should be great for you, they have really good battery life and if you don’t really need a lot of space then it’s probably a good option over a notebook.
No way get a laptop not a netbook
Bindu, what annoys you about it? Because it’s unrealistic? Maybe it’d be better to tell the kids, “I encourage you to try whatever you aspire to be, and it’s okay if you don’t make it.”
he used the oldest netbook possible…whty is tat ohh cause he’s hating and i have adiffucult disicion to make and i cant do it with his bias lecturer uqhhh rudeee

A consortium of investors led by The Walt Disney Company is currently engaged in advanced talks to invest in Bus Online, China’s leading in-bus digital media and advertising company, sources tell Reuters. The deal, which would provide Disney with a new platform to promote Mickey Mouse in China, is oddly said to involve Google, which is a minority investor in the consortium according to the news agency’s sources.
I think that it really comes down to what the individual's passion is. Which cause do you feel most strongly about and that you won't feel as though it is a 'job' to advocate for. If one doesn't have their heart in a project and 'mission' then it is destined to fail, not have the positive results that one would desire.
Yes, by selling you funds that charge you a 5.75% upfront fee and also have a 1% or 2% annual sales charge and putting you into funds that have high expense charges. All of these fees reduce your rate of return and can cause a loss.
If the sales person feels like they want to earn more they will have you sell one fund family and have you buy into another so that the fees start over again.

You have to ask yourself, what exactly did European Union acheive? Free market trade, i.e. free access of all products & services produced in any country to all countries in the EU (to be sold in any country i.e.).
So post EU, common man prospered by investing in ownership of commercial businesses, as compared to defense & entreprenurial businesses earlier.
i absolutely agree, this dude seems so smart but then to overlook basic economics. does he really have an agenda here?

Doing what you love and getting paid for it..
Go to Power Options in the control panel. You will find all the choices there. Power off, sleep, hibernate, stand by, etc.
Go to help to read about the various options. You can have a complete power off. You can have a mode that stores memory and powers off for a quicker startup. You can have a mode that just puts it in low power mode which starts up almost instantly. I use the last.
