i am a 19 year old college sophmore who has fallen in love with the topic of investment. I need some help? Is it advisable to buy scripophily shares. Are they are worthwhile investment?
I was planning to buy some from ebay. Please help me

These appear to be old stock certificates. Collectors items if you will. But are they worthwhile investments(??) – probably not.
If you want to buy stocks, buy them thru a broker, or your brokerage account. But buying thru e-bay, I THINK NOT.

If the government completely nationalizes a bank, the existing shareholders will lose their entire investment. However, you should expect that the government only nationalizes British banks in part. In this case, existing shareholders' equity positions will be diluted, but there shares will still have some value.
Whether the share price will increase or decrease depends on how successful the government's capital infusion will be. If the current share price reflects default risk and the equity infusion makes default less likely, it it quite possible that the share price will increase.

I wouldn’t say no one in America cared about hunger it was just an idea they came up with first. Secondly I mean I’m not saying these people don’t care but don’t you think there’s some publicity that goes along with this and the we are the world. It’s actually is to their advantage but also raises money too.
But I often get the puzzled stares as in “what are you sharing with those people?” or when we get into a specific meme (re: #glenmode), “why is that so funny?” or in the case of the Rent Parties: “you sent money to people you’ve never met?” Me:”Well yeah, our church does that all the time.”

It is a long-term capital gain if you held the shares for at least one year, otherwise it is a short-term gain. That is, assuming the sales price (per share) was more than your basis price.
